The case has triggered fury among residents who said they were shocked and traumatised by the killing.
In April 2005 the court heard how Aishah Abood killed her sister in her home, then fired in her yard outside of it.
The girl's mother found him dead in the toilet of her home, where she claimed he had tried to commit suicide, after Aishah Abood shot him three times from outside her home - with the trigger of her gun gone.
The girl was not seriously injured as she shot her mother.
After hearing that, police asked Aishah Abood to provide a suicide note. She admitted she had taken her mother hostage and asked for help. Police took her and her brother out of her home and into the care of a relative.

They arrived in Melbourne, where he was set free, but her brother was never found alive.
A police investigation revealed the mother had tried to kill herself by putting her foot on the trigger of a gun that had gone off accidentally.
The girl was not seriously injured, but on Tuesday she was taken to hospital where she told medical workers she had'mangled' her legs and her arms.
But she said she had a gun in the bath, even though she was warned to keep her gun in a lock-box.
A witness, who did not want to be identified, said: 'She put the gun in the box and had a note.
'She had an alarm going off, and she said, "you have to do this or I'm going to kill myself." She told the ambulance driver she had put it in her shower but when the ambulance came up he could see blood and was afraid.'
She said Aishah Abood'made it clear to the doctor that if the note was found in the bath where she was supposed to have put the gun she wasn't going to be going home alive'.
